Afasia was formed in 2023 by students of the Music School of Athens. Since then, they have quickly established a strong presence on the city’s youth scene through live performances and their participation in Schoolwave. Following the singles “Unbalanced” and “Dystopia,” the five-member alternative indie rock band is now officially introducing itself to the music world with a maturity and authenticity that is surprising for a group whose members are only 18 years old.

On February 20, Puzzlemusik released their debut album, titled “We Will Die Dreaming,” which will be presented live for the first time at a concert-celebration on Sunday, March 1, at ILION Plus (Patission & Kodrigtonos 17, Athens).

Afasia’s debut is undoubtedly an album of the whole, which means that it is not really fair to single out specific tracks. All ten stops on the journey have something to say, they speak to listeners of all ages, and each of us can discover the track that moves us the most.

The album, created by a group of young people on the cusp of adulthood, is very fittingly released just before or just after the coming of age of all the members of Afasia.

The contrast between the need for dreams and the fear of adult life in a fragmented world that is falling apart seems to be the emotional core of the album, which makes it honest and direct; an authentic voice of the new generation, the so-called Gen Z.

The opening act are Citrus Dust, the university country/folk rock duo from Athens, who have also made a significant concert appearance recently.
