Bassist and composer Yiorgos Pantazopoulos will present his debut album, “Some Things I’ve Never Told You,” on stage at the Half Note Jazz Club on Wednesday, January 21.

George Pantazopoulos is a graduate of the Ionian University and a very active member of the jazz scene in Athens. He comes to Half Note with an album that was recently released by Puzzlemusik on streaming and will also be released on CD on the day of the live performance.

With 8 tracks, 5 originals and 3 arrangements of jazz standards, Pantazopoulos’ jazz piano trio presents music with strong influences from various aspects of tradition (Ray Brown Trio, Les McCann, even Billy Strayhorn, Duke Ellington, etc.), always keeping in mind the sound of today.

The first live presentation of “Some Things I’ve Never Told You” will take place at the city’s most historic jazz club, the Half Note Jazz Club, on Wednesday, January 21. On stage:
