2025.11.21: Debut single & video clip by Afasia.

Afasia was formed in 2023 by students of the Music School of Athens. The five-member alternative rock band has developed a strong presence on the city’s youth music scene, with appearances at live events featuring student bands and participation in Schoolwave Festival.
With these concerts—full of energy and authenticity—Afasia has formed a dynamic core of fans among Athens’ student circles. For those outside these circles, Afasia is a hidden secret that is now, through their debut single, about to be revealed.
“Unbalanced” is an emotionally charged song that navigates the path between determination and resignation. The inventive saxophone melody draws you in from the start, accompanied by unexpected rhythmic tricks, with the vocals and the overall structure of the song gradually leading to a dynamic climax that leaves an open window to redemption. Or maybe not?
The result is a debut that exudes maturity and authenticity – something rare for such a young band with members aged just 18 and 17.
The song is accompanied by a video clip – produced by the band themselves – which also features animated scenes.

The band’s name is a metaphor for the widespread apathy and the pathological lack of reaction to important social events. Afasia took their name from the disorder of the ability to understand or produce written or spoken language (“aphasia” or “αφασία” in Greek). This is a disorder in which the individual cannot speak fluently, assign the correct meaning to words, understand them, and often read.

“Unbalanced” will be included on Afasia’s debut album, titled “We Will Die Dreaming,” which will be released in early 2026 on CD and via streaming/download by Puzzlemusik.
Following the tradition that some of Puzzlemusik’s digital singles are accompanied by a B-side—mirroring the standard “B side” of 7″ vinyl releases— “Unbalanced” is accompanied by the instrumental version of “Όμορφα.” The song will appear in its original version (with lyrics) on the band’s debut album.
The digital single “Unbalanced” is Afasia’s first official release and marks the arrival of a new, dynamic band on the Greek music scene.
