Alex Drakos Trio – Tora

On December 28th, 2015 one of the greatest Greek drummers, Alex Drakos Ktistakis (Alexandros – Drakos Ktistakis), released his first solo album, titled “Tora”.
On the same day, the album was presented for the first time in a live performance at the Theater Stage of GAZARTE.
Alex Drakos Trio’s music is based on Jazz while borrowing elements from many different music genres such as rock, pop, electro and traditional Greek music. These elements are often combined with pre-recorded narration, poetry and spoken word.
From this special mix of individual elements combined with an impressive video projection and an atmospheric light design, a story of inner search is composed. A story where each composition is a chapter of this story while maintaining its uniqueness. Music diverse and atmospheric that captivates the listener and transcends the boundaries of Jazz aesthetics.
Performers:
Alexandros Drakos Ktistakis (drums, samples)
