Paper words you whisper
plastic bags of kisses and I want more
Fireflies blazing stickers of a promise
bursting fingertips on skin so red inside
and I want more
Paper Words and Mary
Paper Words is the third single from Playground Theory’s forthcoming album, entitled “Tears Go Upwards”.
Playground Theory give us a third song from their forthcoming album. Paper Words is a pop psychedelic journey; it starts with the expectancy of that which never happens and ends with loving the journey instead.
After the first two singles the band returns with a Mediterranean sound that was first presented at “Connect the Dots” and will also be part of their new release. The hypnotising riff by Alex Basmatzian along with the rich production by George Priniotakis, who also took care of the string, synth and percussion arrangements, complete Playground Theory’s composition in the best way.
Having released two studio albums by Puzzlemusik (Speaking of Secrets- 2013, Connect the Dots-2016), which received excellent reviews from many music magazines and sites (in Greece and abroad), PT have finished recording their third album which will be released in 2020.

After releasing five singles with Puzzlemusik, PT give us a brand new b-side. This time it’s not a remix but a new song. Mary was first recorded for “Speaking of Secrets”, but was finished just recently.
Compared to the new material Mary is more influenced by an indie sound of the 90s. It takes you in a state of self inflicted despair: by disdaining and looking down on people, you end up with no one around you.
Mix- Production- Mastering for both songs: George Priniotakis
Recording at Artracks Studios
