George Kontrafouris once said of the Baby Trio: “The Baby Trio was created to express innocence, teenage enthusiasm, and generally everything that makes an impression on a young musician when he starts playing in a band with his friends.” The Baby Trio ultimately embodies all the “unrealistic” expectations that exist before “real life” begins. And as he more recently said: “Baby Trio exists so that I can remain constantly alert,” thus triumphantly demonstrating the value of perpetual renewal and fulfilling the saying of the prophets of eternal youth—in music and beyond: “A rolling stone gathers no moss.”
